3 Georgia teams ranked among best prep programs in southeast

USA TODAY High School Sports released its Super 25 regional rankings in football on Monday, and three Georgia teams made the cut for 2016.

USA Today’s Jim Halley selects teams from five regions, including the East, Southeast, Midwest, Southwest and West. The Southeast rankings include teams from Alabama, Florida, Georgia, Tennessee, and South Carolina.

The three Georgia teams on the list were seven-A Grayson, seven-A Roswell, and four-A Cartersville. Grayson beat Roswell 23-20 in an overtime thriller for the seven-A state title, while Cartersville took down Thomson 58-7 to win their second straight four-A championship.
