Georgia State basketball accepts College Insider Tournament bid

After a disappointing loss in the Sun Belt Conference Tournament, the Panthers had their postseason hopes revived with an invitation to the College Insider Tournament.

Georgia State (20-12, 12-6 Sun Belt) accepted an invitation to the CIT on Monday, marking the fourth postseason appearance in head coach Ron Hunter’s six years in Atlanta. 

The 2017 invite will be GSU’s second College Insider Tournament appearance, and the Panthers will plat on the road at Texas A&M-Corpus Christi on Wednesday at 8 p.m. ET.

The first round of thw tournament will be played March 13–16, the second round March 17–20, the quarterfinals March 23–26, the semifinals March 29, and the championship game on March 31.

The game will be streamed on Facebook Live. The CIT and Facebook Live have partnered together to bring each of the 2017 contests to the social media platform.
