Georgia Tech’s Pastner to coach East team in NABC’s All-Star Game

Josh Pastner, whose Yellow Jackets will play of the NIT Championship Thursday night, will be in Phoenix Friday to coach in the NABC All-Star Game.

Georgia Tech‘s first-year head coach Josh Pastner has been selected to coach in the 2017 Reese’s Division I College All-Star Game this Friday, it was announced Tuesday.

The National Association of Basketball Coaches (NABC) annually select 21 of the nation’s outstanding seniors in NCAA Division. Pastner will coach the game’s East team.

Pastner, who was named NABC District 2 Coach of the Year last week, will lead his Yellow Jackets against TCU in the National Invitation Tournament Championship game Thursday night at 8 p.m., and will have a short turnaround for the NABC All-Star game in Phoenix on Friday.

In 2016-17, Georgia Tech set an all-time program record with 17 home wins, upset three top-15 ACC teams, and made it past the NIT quarterfinals for the first time in 46 years.

The Reese’s All-Star Game will be played this Friday at 3:35 p.m. at the University of Phoenix Stadium. The game can be seen on the CBS Sports Network.
