VIDEO: Kirby Smart makes ‘Red vs. Black’ G-Day game theme

The Bulldogs will be on display in late-April as their spring game kicks off, and this year’s theme has been set by head coach Kirby Smart.

Prior to this year’s spring G-Day game, coach Smart held a coin flip between defensive and offensive players to determine what side would wear red and what side would wear black.

In the flip held this week, the quarterback Jacob Eason called heads for the offense, and won. The offensive players chose to wear black for the G-Day Game.

This year’s spring game is set for Saturday, April 22 at 2 p.m. with admission free to the public.

Georgia kicks off the 2017 season hosting the Appalachian State Mountaineers on Saturday, September 2 in Athens, with the time TBD. See the full season schedule HERE.
