Recap: Georgia State falls to Troy in Sun Belt semifinals

Another Georgia team was eliminated from a conference tournament Saturday, as the Georgia State Panthers were upset by Troy in the Sun Belt Conference Tournament quarterfinals.

Georgia State (20-12, 12-6 SunBelt) entered the conference tournament as the No. 2 seed, and defeated Louisiana-Lafayette 86-76 on Friday night in the quarterfinals. 

On Saturday, the Panthers faced off against the No. 6 seed Troy Trojans, and had a nice nine point lead at halftime. A 46-point second half from Troy, however, was too much for GSU, and in the end it was the Trojans advancing tot he Sun Belt finals on Sunday with a 74-63 win.

State won the turnover battle, and beat the Trojans on the boards, but got outscored by 20 points int he second half and let the game slip away. See the full box score HERE.
