Recap: Georgia Tech women beat Washington State 69-61 in WNIT semifinals

The Yellow Jackets will have both of their basketball programs playing for NIT titles this week, as the women’s team advanced to the WNIT Championship Game with a win Wednesday night.

Georgia Tech (22-14) notched another win Wednesday night, keeping the 2016-17 season alive to advance to the Women’s National Invitation Tournament final.

Georgia Tech hosted Washington State at McCamish Pavilion, and rode a dominating fourth quarter performance to a semifinal victory, and will face Michigan on Saturday.

The Jackets were led by a 20-point effort from junior forward Zaire O’Neil, and had four players with double-digit scoring.

Tech and Michigan will square off on Saturday at 3 p.m. on CBS Sports Network for the WNIT Championship. See the full bracket HERE.
