Valdosta becomes first ever high school with 900 football wins

The Valdosta Wildcats won the Winnersville Classic football game Friday night, beating the Lowndes Vikings in a 38-13 rout.  On any give Friday night in South Georgia, that would be plenty to celebrate, but this one had a pretty special exclamation point.

With Friday night’s win, Valdosta became the first ever high school football program in America to reach the 900 win mark.

The only football program in the nation with more total wins is not even a high school, but the University of Michigan with 915.
