VIDEO: MLB The Show releases virtual SunTrust park preview

The brand new SunTrust Park won’t see its first game until March 31 as the Braves host the Yankees in exhibition play, but a virtual preview is out courtesy of a video game.

MLB: The Show, a long running video game version of Major League Baseball, will release its 2017 edition on March 28, just three days before the first-ever baseball game at SunTrust Park. The game has released a virtual preview of the new home of the Atlanta Braves, complete with fans and players in action.

There are virtual renderings of the stadium with fans, and actual videos of the new, nearly completed ballpark, but nothing so realistic with game action like MLB: The Show video.

Produced exclusively for the Playstation family of devices and consoles, MLB: The Show has been in continuous annual release since 2006.

As Turner Field, the former home of the Braves, gets transitioned into Georgia State Stadium, primarily for football use, SunTrust Park only needs a few finishing details of the next week or so to be completed for the 2017 season.
